I decided I need to try and get of my lazy arse and make a new theme. I want to try something a little more complex as this layout is pretty basic. Perhaps I’ll try adding a logo / image this time. I have planned a few ideas for my new layout, but lets see if it turns out as good as I have it mapped out in my head. Things never work like that - for me.

Back to school on Tuesday and I’m dreading it. As I said before my sleeping patterns are all up the wall and I have a cold. Hopefully I’ll feel a little better for school because I can’t really miss any. GCSE’s are pretty important as I’m constantly reminded by smart-arse teachers.

• Keep Paintedskies open and stop messing about with things and breaking them
• Use the same CMS. I tend to switch constantly and it annoys people, I’m sure!
• Lose some weight. Christmas didn’t help
• Study hard for my GCSE’s and stop being a lazy arse.
• Mingle more and introduce myself to new people.

To be honest I had trouble coming up with resolutions, and these are pretty lousey. I’ll probably fail them anyway. What I want to know is, what is your number one resolution for 2009?

• Some new trainers
• Aftershave; from my mum and dad and my aunt! (I now have enough to last me for forty years. I got loads for Christmas, too)
• Some cool alarm clock that wakes you up with the radio (I needed it, badly)
• A couple of DVD’s that I had wanted
• Pants and socks (you can never have enough of those…)
• Money from family members

I’m really happy with the presents I received. I didn’t really ask for anything this year because I know money is a little tight at the moment, but I done really well. I’m going to go now — hopefully to enjoy the rest of my day!

Anyway, it’s my sixteenth Birthday tomorrow! To be honest I’m not that excited, but I’m sure I’ll have quite a good day. My aunt will be taking me out for a meal with some family tomorrow, but on the Wednesday I’m going out with my friends. I wanted to go out with my friends today, but one of them has a cold and another has a throat infection. It wouldn’t be the same without them there, and I really didn’t want to catch anything.

Before I go, I want you guys to know the one reason I hate breaks from school. My routine. It completely fucks it up. I basically done an all-nighter last night, and now I have had about three hours sleep today, it’s terrible! Hopefully I’ll sleep early tonight considering I haven’t slept much, but it doesn’t always work like that.

I have also written a mini Textpattern tutorial thing. Many people ask me how to use Textpattern, so I thought it would be good to help those out who need it. I have written a tutorial on how to solve the comments issue, and I have now started on how to make a search form with Textpattern. I might write a begginers guide to Textpattern in the future, too.

Please give me some ideas for more tutorials, because I need them. It can be WordPress tutorials, Textpattern, XHTML, CSS, etc. Just ask me what you need help with and I’ll write a tutorial for you guys. Everytime I ask for my visitors to suggest some articles, you never do. If you don’t suggest then I wont write. Simple.

Before I go, I’d like to let you guys know that I am working on a new template. Hopefully it will be up within the week, so watch this space!

Below are some reasons for why I wont always comment you back.

• If your blog is pointless. I don’t want to comment about a new pair of bright yellow pants you got for Christmas, I would much rather comment on something more useful.
• I’ve had a busy day and I just want to sit back and relax. Yeah, replying to comments isn’t that time consuming, but being lazy like me… it is.
• Getting blunt comments always pisses me off. “Cool layout” isn’t acceptable. Try commenting on the blog and then mentioning the layout.
• I don’t care if you have had your first period; if your boyfriends dumped you; or if you like having ‘rough’ sex. Get over it, no one cares.

See, I’m not at all arrogant.

The enjoyment is nearly over for all of use, but I still have my Birthday to look forward to. Roll on 30th December!

Anyway, I’ve been getting some good feedback at Rev.iew.me about my site. Even though people say they like the simplicity of this layout, I feel a little bored with it now. I’m trying something a lot more advanced and it’s going really well. So far. Hopefully if I work on it enough it should be up before my Birthday.

• Do you have something special for Christmas breakfast, or is it just the normal?
• Do you open your presents as soon as you wake up or do you have to wait until after dinner? Or do you even receive presents?
• Do you visit church, stay at home, or go to a relatives house?

I went to the opticians last week and got my eyes tested. You know they have those letters on the board which you have to read out? Well I couldn’t even read it. The letters were reflected from a computer screen into a mirror on the wall, so the man had to scroll up so there was only two large letters appearing on the screen. I could just about see them!

My mum didn’t want me to get contact lenses because apparently they’re pricey. After the optician had a word with my mum and said my eyes were “disgusting”, she decided to get me the lenses. She knows if I got glasses they would be chucked in the corner of my bedroom and would never even touch my face.

So now I have my lenses, it’s like a different world. You don’t notice how bad your eye sight is until someone can see a person walking towards you and you can’t. Now I can see individual strands of grass, whereas before it was just a big green haze. Oh, and I now can see facial expressions.

I had to have a lesson on putting the lenses in and taking them out. The teacher couldn’t believe that I could do this automatically. He said girls are usually better at putting them in and out because they usually mess around with their eyes – with putting eye liner and mascara on them. Sexist much?

So now, if I pass you in the street and you smile at me, I wont look so arrogant and I will smile back.

Anyway, are you guys looking forwards to Christmas? It’s true what they say: when you do get older, Christmas isn’t as enjoyable. For the last few years it hasn’t been the same, it’s just one of those things… I suppose.

However, I do love receiving the presents. I got my 16gb iPod Touch last monday, but I wish I hadn’t. No, it isn’t shit. It’s just because getting your main present early makes Christmas less exciteable, I suppose. Oh well, I still get other presents to unwrap for Christmas.

A question for you guys to answer… What are you expecting / wanting to open on Christmas day?
